- Plan and lead age-appropriate summer camp activities, including arts and crafts, games, outdoor play, STEM activities, and group projects.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where children feel encouraged to learn, explore, and build friendships.
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of campers at all times during indoor and outdoor activities.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members through open communication and teamwork.
- Encourage participation, creativity, and social-emotional development through structured and recreational activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe camp environment in accordance with licensing and health standards.
- Assist with meal and snack times while following food safety procedures.
- Support behavior management using positive guidance techniques.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and camp events as needed.
- Serve as a positive role model and help create a fun and memorable summer experience for all campers.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience working with children in a childcare, camp, school, or recreational setting preferred.
- CPR & First Aid Certification preferred.
- Current Food Handler’s Certification preferred.
- Passion for working with children and creating engaging learning experiences.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead group activities and maintain a positive camp environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and adapt to changing schedules and activities.
- Must pass a background check in accordance with state licensing requirements.
